Special class 2023
At New Vision for a Better Life, we believe in the power of education to transform young
lives. We also believe in helping kids develop the skills it takes to become successful,
working adults in a struggling homeland that desperately needs them.
Our goal is to give every child the knowledge and practical skills to break the chains of
paralyzing poverty. That’s why, in addition to our core academic program, NeViBL is
offering four special vocational classes including sales, farming, detergent production
and screen printing:
- Farming. Here, students learn how to grow crops including limes, mangoes,
tomatoes and peppers. They also learn about soil mechanics, fertilizers and
organic pest control methods. We even teach them how to build chicken coops! - Screen Printing. Using ink pads and screens, students learn basic techniques
for printing on t-shirts and poster board — a marketable skill utilizing the same
process as professional printers. - Detergent Production. This series of classes teaches kids how to make vinegar
and other cleaning solutions for washing clothes and dishes — vital skills that
impact their everyday lives.
- Farming. Here, students learn how to grow crops including limes, mangoes,
- Sales. Students learn basic selling skills, how to interact with customers, and the
importance of a positive attitude in building strong client relationships (the
customer is always right).
- Sales. Students learn basic selling skills, how to interact with customers, and the
NeViBL offers academic scholarships to assist orphaned and disinherited children with
tuition, school supplies and uniforms. We also offer continuing education scholarships.
With help from our caring donors, we can continue for years to come.
Would you like to help change the future for Haiti’s poorest kids?
Haiti is the most impoverished nation in the Western Hemisphere, with more than half of the country’s 11.2 million people subsisting on less than $2 a day. Each year, malnutrition ravages over 65,000 children under the age of five. Many children under 14 — more than a third of Haiti’s population — have virtually no access to health care, clean water or food security. NeViBL is dedicated to creating better lives for Haiti’s poorest, one child at a time. It is a monumental task. But with your support, we believe it
is possible.
