NeViBL Orphanage

A dream comes true

Since 2007, we have dreamed of having a refuge for the many unfortunate and disinherited kids of Haiti, especially the orphans. Each time we visit a mission, we feel a call to help at least one child, either with food or to help with education, school tuition and materials, etc. To us, it is a way to show our love and to follow Jesus’ steps by being helpful to those in need.

Of course, helping one, five or ten kids in 100 is not enough; however, it is a way to plant a seed of real hope for a better future in that child and in the community.

And so, in October 2017, with the financial support of New Horizon UMC of Champaign, IL USA, we started the NeViBL Orphanage with ten kids — an answer to our prayers and dreams. It is truly amazing to see how the Lord is using us to make a positive impact on so many young lives.

As Orphanage Director, my wife Venique loves the kids and her ever-growing family. Together, we look forward to helping kids and to creating future community leaders with God’s guidance and wisdom via the Word of God. By providing financial support, education and vocational training, we seek to give them the tools they’ll need to live independently and to help others throughout their lives.

Disinherited Children

There are at least 30,000 children living in orphanages in Haiti. Nearly 80 percent have at least one living parent. These are the country’s disinherited — children whose parents cannot afford to care for them and so are forced to abandon them to an orphanage or, worse, the streets.
